Studio Photography Experiences | Milestone & Family

It can be anytime at all, there doesn't need to be a reason, but here is a list of common times to have your milestone pictures taken:  When baby first starts sitting up (around 6-8 months): Great to capture their emerging personality and the best time for amazing close ups of baby's beautiful face and eyes. A lovely time for older sibling pictures. *First Birthday (around 11-13 months): Great to document their developing curiosity and character and maybe even capture their first steps.  Lovely to have either a few weeks before their birthday so that the pictures are ready for the big day, or otherwise to have as part of the birthday week activities. *Second, third or fourth birthday: Such a treat for all the family, lovely to see and document the change in little one year upon year and to capture the family growing up. *Mum or Dad's birthday/anniversary/mother's/Father's Day: A celebration of you and all that you've achieved in that time.  A lovely gift for a parent who all too often isn't in the frame. *Starting big school: Lovely to capture them in the studio setting one last time before they graduate to primary school and everything shifts.  Wonderful to see how far little one has come!

Most of my items are for mums and babies 0-12 months.  I do have some white t-shirts and white dresses for older children 2-4 years old.

You're very welcome to bring one well behaved fur baby, for which there is a small additional fee.

This is a very common concern, especially with maternity pictures.  I'm very experienced in gently guiding you in how to stand and how to hold yourself.

Yes! I have three children myself and know how to connect with the little ones and get them on my side. In fact, I will often prioritise connecting with the children very early on in the photo shoot, to ensure they warm to me and that we can get some lovely pictures for you. If all else fails for the really little ones, I always have bubbles and sequins in the studio to pick them up when they need it :-)   It is usually the ladies who book the photo shoots, and sometimes the husbands are also a little reluctant to have their pictures taken. Sequins and bubbles might not work for them, but there is always so much focus on the children that they relax into the pictures. The dads often say that it has been much more enjoyable than they were expecting and that they loved the relaxed time with their family.

Of course, I will only ever share pictures taken during a session with the written permission of the family. I fully respect your right to privacy and will never share images unless permission is granted.

Your proof gallery will usually be sent to you 2-3 weeks after your session.  Occasionally, over holiday periods, this will be a little longer, but I will inform you in advance if this will be the case. Once you've received your proof gallery, you'll get 7 days to make your choices.  Once I've received your choices and any additional payment, I will have your final gallery with you within one week.

Yes, you can order additional products directly from your Final Gallery.  I have prints, canvases and other wall art available to buy, delivered straight to your door.  If you're looking for something in particular, please do let me know and I can check what is available with my professional suppliers.

I take payment of the session fee at the time of booking.  This holds your date in my diary and confirms your booking.  Payment of the "essential collection" is then due by the day of your session with me.  You're very welcome to upgrade to my other collections once you've seen your gallery of pictures.
